The main thing that drives me in life, is one that has motivated humans to keep going for thousands of years. It is the primitive sense of satisfaction you feel, after achieving something that you have spent time working towards. This is an emotion that I thrive on, and I feel that my entire life is built around the desire to feel the satisfaction that is felt after achieving a goal, no matter how great or small. It is the divine driving force of all life, and is experienced every day, by every person. It can be simple things, like the joy you experience when you catch a ball; the feeling you get when you sense it enter your hands. Or when you climb a tree, and get to acknowledge the world around you from a higher, greater perspective. Simple things like these, is what makes every day so enjoyable for me. The feeling I get whenever I’m playing cricket, whether it be training or a game offers the same source of satisfaction, because I know that I’m out there to have fun and spend time with my mates. The way you feel after finishing an assignment that you’ve worked hard on for so long, or after you’ve studied hard for a test and know that it will pay off is another example. Or, on a larger scale, the feeling one would get after being offered a new job, or a scholarship to university and being able to share the experience with their friends and family. This can be symbolised by an image of a wine glass, as it represents the celebration and satisfaction that one would feel if this occurred to them. This feeling we get, is like the one you get when you’re riding your bike. The way up the hill, is slow and tiring. But when you get to the top, the ride downhill is one of the most satisfying of your life. This feeling is experienced through all actions in our lives, and is what drives me to keep pushing and keep trying.
