In my world, I can escape through music. The soft sounds of a guitar being strummed or even the loud belting of my favourite band through my earphones helps to soothe me and relax me. I can really express myself through music. Just picking up my saxophone and playing a piece of music until it is perfected can be so therapeutic and comforting. This is shown through my photos. The soft edges of the guitar and saxophone show how I can express my feelings by just writing a song and softly playing along. The sharpened edges of the earphones show how I can get lost into another world while listening to loud rock music through them. The graceful notes scattered along the stave represent balance and movement through my life. Sometimes it may be fast and exhilarating, but at other times it can be slow, smooth and relaxed. The notes can be high or low or even sound strange at times, but they will always end on a beautiful note. I portray this through the photo of the many pieces I have played being scattered across the floor just like photographs of memories. In my world, music is so important and this is why I chose to represent it in these photographs.
